Job summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading accountancy practice in their search for a Part Qualified Accountant to join their Audit team, with a focus on the Charity and Not for Profit sector. Qualifications

• Fully AAT qualified or part qualified ACA or ACCA
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Previous audit experience would be advantageous
• Experience working with charity or not for profit clients would be beneficial
• Knowledge of charity accounting frameworks such as SORP would be desirable

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution and completion of audit assignments
• Prepare audit working papers in line with firm and regulatory standards
• Support fieldwork including testing of controls and substantive procedures
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and year end accounts
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and charity regulations
• Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Support senior team in maintaining client relationships
• Contribute to teamwork and timely delivery of services
• Support delivery across a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients
• Develop knowledge of audit processes and client service delivery

Education

AAT qualification

ACA/ACCA (part-qualified)
