Job summary

Stirling Council's Newton Primary School is seeking a Chargehand Cleaner to supervise the cleaning team on a 22-hour per week, term-time basis. Shifts run 3pm–7.24pm, with pay at Stirling Council Grade 2.

The role includes ordering cleaning products, managing equipment and keys, lifting heavy items, and operating cleaning machinery. PVG clearance is required, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cleaning staff and coordinating duties.
• Capable of lifting heavy items and operating cleaning machinery.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to use Stirling Council training systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning assistants at Newton Primary School.
• Order cleaning products and manage equipment.
• Hold keys to enable cleaning provision.
• Maintain health and safety with PVG readiness.
