Job summary

Capgemini UK is looking for a Change Manager to lead service delivery with a predictive mindset to prevent disruption. You’ll forecast futures needs, manage RFCs, and drive first-time-right changes across the Capgemini account network.

Ideal candidates will have ITIL expertise, strong communication skills, CAB facilitation experience, and a track record of mitigating risk through effective change governance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Owns service delivery during shift and provides direction and escalation for the team.

  • Manage change within agreed timescales and mitigate implementation risk.
  • Escalate changes that impact service quality and ensure regulatory controls compliance.
  • Coordinate Change Advisory Board meetings and distribute papers timely.
  • Communicate progress and outcomes of changes to relevant parties.

About the job you’re considering

Here we have a great opportunity to join our team as a Change Manager! As Change manager, you will ensure predictive mindset is applied in change to prevent and or mitigate the risk of service disruption. The scope of this role in service management is to ensure management of the Capgemini account function is achieved. You will collaborate with stakeholders and our extensive high-profile client network to forecast future needs, address capacity constraints, and enhance performance through change management


Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

As an integral part of the UKCC leadership team, you will take ownership of service delivery during your shift and provide clear direction, support and escalation for the team. You will be empowered to:

  • Drive actions that increase the percentage of changes that are implemented correctly first time.
  • Ensure that change implementation risk is understood and mitigated to increase the likelihood of successful implementation at first attempt.
  • Ensure that all changes are managed as planned within the timescales agreed with the change requester.
  • Escalate any changes which are damaging the quality of the service.
  • Ensure all changes comply with client and customer/regulatory controls.
  • Ensure agreed Request for Change (RFC) are entered correctly in the Change Control System.
  • Organize Change Advisory Board Meetings (CAB), ensure agenda and papers are issued to participants in good time.
  • Review, monitor and communicate the progress and outcome of changes to all relevant parties.

Your skills and experience
  • Expect major part of experience in IT Infrastructure, with emphasis on operational management.
  • Clear commitment to Service Management Framework approach to IT Infrastructure management essential. Previous experience strongly desirable.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Have Interpersonal and Communication skills.
  • A self-starter.
  • Possess good judgement.
  • Work well with teams.
  • Knowledge of the use of Service now.
