Job description

At POWWR we provideadvanced platforms and simple solutions for over 25 energy suppliers and more than 1,400 brokers across the United Kingdom. It empowers energy suppliers and brokers to grow their businesses and create a transparent, connected journey. The company was previously known as UD Group in the United Kingdom.

We are looking for an experienced Change and Delivery Lead to join our UK Change & Delivery team and lead the successful onboarding and deployment of software solutions for utility-sector clients, alongside key internal IT projects and change initiatives.

In this client-facing role, you’ll own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle from contract signature through to go-live and hyper-care. You’ll manage project plans, milestones, risks and stakeholder communications, while translating business needs into clear requirements and actionable delivery plans.

You’ll act as the central point of coordination between clients and internal teams, including Product, Development, Sales, Account Management, Support and Training, ensuring that deliverables remain aligned and that risks, blockers and dependencies are actively managed.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to really make your mark within a growing and ambitious company.

What You Will Be Doing

You’ll combine project leadership, business analysis and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Owning the end-to-end implementation lifecycle from contract signature through to go-live and hyper-care.

Leading project planning, milestone tracking, delivery assurance and regular status reporting.

Maintaining core project documentation including plans, RAID logs, status reports, decisions and meeting actions.

Coordinating cross-functional teams to align deliverables, timelines and responsibilities, resolve blockers and maintain accountability.

Monitoring project risks, issues and dependencies and escalating where appropriate.

Gathering and documenting business requirements through interviews, workshops and data analysis.

Working with Product to translate business needs into process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery timelines.

Conducting gap analysis between current and target states and supporting the development of practical change plans.

Working with Sales and Account Management to maintain product backlogs and support prioritisation with Product Owners.

Serving as the primary client contact during implementation and facilitating workshops, requirement sessions and regular progress updates.

Acting as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders and adapting communications for each audience.

Coordinating client training, user setup and handover activities so they remain aligned with technical delivery milestones.

Supporting integration projects involving energy suppliers, brokers and other third parties.

Capturing lessons learned and contributing to improvements in implementation frameworks and delivery best practice.

Ensuring delivery activities comply with relevant security, data-protection and UK utility-sector requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

You'll be highly motivated, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, as you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and will be expected to combine collaborative working with clear accountability and consistent follow-through.

  • At least three years’ experience in change and delivery, project management, software implementation or a comparable client-facing delivery role.
  • At least three years’ experience in UK utilities, smart metering or billing systems would be highly valued.
  • Experience managing software implementations or IT change initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Practical business-analysis experience, including requirements gathering, workshops, process mapping and gap analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, technical teams and business colleagues.
  • Experience maintaining project plans, RAID logs, status reports, actions and delivery documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and the ability to work effectively in mixed delivery environments.
  • Proficiency in Jira, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • An understanding of GDPR, information security and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organisation, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Ofgem requirements and the operational landscape for UK energy suppliers and brokers.
  • Experience with smart metering, billing, CRM, portal or energy-market software.
  • Experience coordinating client training, operational readiness and post-go-live support.
  • Experience supporting product backlog prioritisation or working closely with Product Owners.
