Job summary

Northeastern Technical College (NETC) seeks an experienced Assistant Vice President of Finance to serve as the institution’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash management, procurement, financial aid, and audit compliance. This role advises the President and Area Commissioners on financial matters and strategic initiatives in alignment with the College’s mission.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus five (5) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of principles and procedures pertaining to higher education.
• Knowledge of grant funding from state and federal sources.
• Knowledge of the institution's mission, policies and operations.
• Knowledge of administrative and business management principles, practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the administrative/business management activities of the organization.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct administrative and support activities and staff.
• Ability to formulate and implement administrative policies and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and Executive Oversight for Fiscal Affairs including Procurement, Accounting, AP/AR, Student Accounts, Grants, Capital Projects/Construction Management, and the online bookstore and Financial Aid.
• Provides executive leadership for budgeting, forecasting, cash management, risk management, reporting, and audit oversight.
• Advises the President, leadership, and Area Commissioners on financial matters and strategic initiatives.
• Directs the development of long-term financial forecasts, resource allocation plans, and capital budgeting.
• Oversees 52-week rolling cash flow forecasting, debt collection, grant fund drawdowns, and insurance risk management.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and prepares financial reports.
