Job summary

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools seeks a Chief Finance and Operations Officer to lead the district's financial management and support operations. You will direct Finance Services, capital planning, and facilities oversight to align resources with instructional goals.

The role requires extensive experience in public school finance, strategic budgeting, and leadership of large teams. You will report to the Superintendent and participate in CORE leadership and cabinet discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• Master's degree in Business or related field.
• CPA certification or MSBO CFO certification preferred.
• Minimum five years in public school district finance and operations.
• Ability to lead finance and operational services across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, business and finance operations for the district.
• Direct facility maintenance, transportation, grounds, custodial, food service, and capital programs.
• Forecast, develop and monitor district budgets for all funds.
• Ensure compliance with state statutes and regulations; report financial info to leadership.
• Communicate financial information to the Board and stakeholders.
• Participate in strategic planning and capital improvement projects.
