Job Responsibility:

The CFO is responsible for the MCAPS Finance function across Africa. Reporting directly to the CFO/GM of MCAPS Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMA), this role is part of the MCAPS CEMA finance leadership team, making key decisions around people, business processes, and performance. The role acts as a key business partner for the Africa General Manager (GM) and is part of the Africa leadership team, accountable for delivering business results across Africa while adhering to Microsoft policies and local laws.

The CFO must develop a clear financial strategy for the primary African countries aligned with business goals and drive results accordingly. Building organizational capability with strong succession plans, inclusive of diverse talent, is essential. The role requires attracting, hiring, developing, and retaining top finance talent both externally and internally. Prioritizing time and resources to drive business impact through strategic initiatives for profitable growth is critical.

Responsibilities
  • People Leadership: Managing hiring, succession planning, and performance management
  • Personal Leadership: Driving MCAPS leadership team interactions and finance discipline improvements
  • Business Insight: Identifying growth opportunities, aligning resources, removing blockers, and maximizing investments
  • Partnering across finance to understand FX frameworks and support cash management

  • Business Excellence: Ensuring integrity of budget and target processes for MCAPS revenue and P&L, and managing monthly financial rhythms
Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualification: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field, with extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification: Experience managing direct reports.
