Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a PE-backed Multisite Education business that is entering a pivotal stage of transformation and growth. The business is driven by a data-led strategy to identify high-potential markets, track supply and demand, and deploy capital quickly and effectively. With multiple acquisitions already in the pipeline, the business requires a commercially astute and hands-on CFO to lead the financial agenda, establish a scalable finance function, and drive an ambitious buy-and-build strategy.
The CFO will play a critical role in implementing fit-for-purpose financial structures. Partnering closely with the CEO and private equity investors, they will shape and execute the financial and operational strategy to support long-term value creation. The role will involve spearheading an active acquisition strategy, overseeing financial due diligence, structuring deals, and managing post-acquisition integration to maximise synergies and support the scaling of the platform.
A key focus will be on setting up and running a robust and scalable finance function, optimising financial processes, and implementing strong controls and reporting frameworks to support future growth. The CFO will be deeply involved in market identification, commercial modelling, and capital deployment, ensuring the finance function is tightly integrated into the business’s strategic decision-making. In addition, they will ensure operational efficiency across multi-site operations, support long-term exit planning, and be positioned to step into a broader leadership role as the business scales.
The ideal Candidate:
• Proven track record as a CFO in a multi-site, PE-backed business, ideally within Education or related sectors.
• Strong experience in M&A execution and integration, with the ability to be deeply involved in deal processes and post-deal value creation.
• Demonstrated ability to implement robust financial controls, reporting systems, and operational efficiencies in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
• Commercially minded, able to use data and insight to influence value-led decisions and drive performance.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, influencing at board level and working effectively with private equity sponsors, lenders, and external advisors.
• Ambitious and capable of stepping into a broader operational leadership role as the business and platform evolve.
Please understand that due to the expected high number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly.
