Maryview Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to facilitate operative procedures by preparing and providing sterile instruments and equipment alongside the surgical team.

Responsibilities include passing instruments, maintaining asepsis, and assisting with perioperative preparation and cleanup. Requires Associate degree in Surgical Technology; BLS preferred; multiple certs may be required; Virginia licensure if residing there. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred).
• Certified by CST, NBSTA or TS-C (TS-C not accepted in Cincinnati).
• NCCT (required).
• Registered CST with VA Board of Medicine if residing in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin preparation and clipping as indicated by procedure.
