Job summary

Kiwa Group, including BASEC, seeks a Certification Manager in Milton Keynes to lead the Certification department and deliver the certification strategy. You will oversee schemes, audits, customer projects, and accreditation compliance while driving improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and managing high‑performing teams.
• Experience in a multi-site, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Strong track record of delivering operational success.
• Experience in a certification role with knowledge of standards, accreditation and testing.
• Excellent planning, organisation and time management to meet deadlines.
• Experience balancing customers, stakeholders and employees.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer relationship management and service focus.
• Qualified Lead Auditor for QMS (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Certification department, including budgeting, planning and resource management.
• Lead, develop and support Certification team members, identifying training needs.
• Develop and maintain certification schemes and ensure compliance with BASEC quality systems.
• Oversee customer certification projects from initiation to decision and timely delivery.
• Manage audit programmes, scheduling, report reviews and sample procurement.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address product issues.
• Build strong customer relationships and drive satisfaction across BASEC's services.
• Recommend certification sanctions to the Business Unit Leader when needed.
• Ensure BASEC meets responsibilities to customers relating to Stockist Scheme and market surveillance.
