Main duties of the job

The role involves supporting and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists, completing daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care for a client with complex needs including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and tetraplegia.

We have an excellent opportunity for a female support worker to work alongside our client in Caldicot, Monmouthshire.

Our client is a lady in her 20's who due to brain injury has complex needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy and tetraplegia so requires support with things such as personal care, medication, feeding and manual handling. Shelives at home with her parents, in a self contained interconnecting bungalow from the main house which includes a therapy room where she receives a range of treatments (hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, occupational health, music therapy and reflexology) She enjoys hand on activities like crafts, sensory, cooking and baking but also loves music.

Due to the clients support needs the successful candidate will need to be female with previous experience working with complex needs and brain injury/cerebral palsy, have a full UK driving licenceand possessthe softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship.

Hours: Days9:30 - 17:00 Monday – Sunday
