Job summary

Haldane Fisher Limited seeks a Central Stores Manager in Lisburn to lead the Central Stores team, ensuring stock availability, accurate stock records, and efficient distribution across branches. You’ll drive health and safety, optimise stock levels, and coordinate inter-branch logistics in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a warehouse or central stores operation and people.
• Stock control: reorder disciplines, stock file maintenance, cycle counting, aged/excess stock.
• Familiarity with stock reporting systems and data
• Able to work with branch teams and category colleagues without direct line authority.
• Strong understanding of warehouse health and safety.
• Knowledge of plumbing, heating, bathroom product ranges is advantageous.
• Experience of multi-site or central-to-branch distribution.
• Transport planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Central Stores team day to day: workload, cover, performance.
• Oversee health, safety and housekeeping on site for handling, racking, vehicle movements.
• Deploy team across goods inwards, picking, storage and delivery as volumes vary.
• Order Central Stores stock; coordinate with Category Managers and Central Stores Manager.
• Maintain availability of centrally stocked plumbing, heating and bathroom lines to branches.
• Set and monitor reorder levels, min/max, lead times for central stock.
• Identify aged/excess stock; negotiate cleanse terms with suppliers; manage returns.
• Own goods inwards and stock accuracy for central lines; cycle counts & discrepancies.
• Plan vehicle movements for inter-branch deliveries.
• Coordinate Bathline Lisburn deliveries and handover to Central Stores.
• Support branch teams with customer orders and deliveries.
