Job summary

Invicta is establishing a cementitious products terminal in Sheerness, Kent, and is seeking a motivated Shift Supervisor to lead a small team and supervise unloading ships and loading into silos and road tankers.

You will manage day-to-day terminal operations, ensure health and safety, coordinate maintenance with the Ops Manager and Senior Supervisor, and deliver reliable uptime across night and day shifts on a roaster with weekend work when ships unload.

• Knowledge of plant equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of operatives to keep the plant running smoothly and efficiently.
• Ensure health and safety of all operational staff under supervision.
• Assist with operation and supervision of all operational aspects of the terminal, including bulk ship handling, storage and handling, equipment maintenance.
• Maintain equipment and source replacement parts, testing ahead of vessel arrivals.
• Unloading of imported cementitious ships in a timely manner.
• Oversee day-to-day shift operations of equipment (unloaders, loaders, weighbridges, silos).
• Collaborate to develop maintenance and operational strategies and conduct effective shift handovers.
