Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced operations leader to join our Pathology senior team at Peterborough City Hospital. You will drive quality management across Cellular Pathology and Microbiology, lead service redesign, and develop the workforce to deliver high-quality patient care.

We value continuous improvement, staff development, and robust governance, with opportunities to work across Trust sites and contribute to strategic planning and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate IBMS qualifications or equivalent and HCPC registration or eligible.
• Evidence of mandatory on-going CPD.
• Experience of managing a service with strong clinical governance and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality, patient-focused pathology service within budget constraints.
• Recruit, develop and manage the pathology team across multiple sites.
• Shape strategy and service planning in collaboration with senior leaders.
