Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pathology Consultant to provide cellular pathology and cytology services at Southend University Hospital. You will contribute to MDTs and pursue a sub-specialty aligned to service requirements.

The role supports a multi-million pound digital upgrade with upgraded office space and access to digital dictation and voice recognition, in a department driving modern pathology delivery.

Qualifications

• Essential: FRCPath (or equivalent).
• Essential: Full and specialist GMC registration or eligibility within six months.
• Higher specialist training in Morbid Anatomy, Histopathology and Cytopathology.

Responsabilités

• Provide cellular pathology and non-gynaecology cytology services on a sessional basis.
• Direct MDT attendance and reporting; develop a specialist service aligned to trust needs.
