The Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder seeks an Expeditor to join our Dormy team. You will support restaurant management, coordinate service, and communicate between front-of-house and culinary teams to ensure every dish meets our exacting standards.

The on target earning potential for this role is £35,901 / per annum - comprising a base salary of £27,601, plus a qualified estimate of £8,300 in gratuities and service charge.*

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• Supporting our restaurant management team in controlling the flow of service, ensuring that eachdish matches the restaurant’s standards before it leaves the kitchen in line with our LQA and Forbes Standards, creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests
• Expertly liaising between the FoH and the Culinary teams throughout service, relaying any special requests or modifications, setting an unbreakable rhythm and managing the workflow of the kitchen
• Understanding and responding to special requests or modifications in a calm, knowledgeable and supremely professional manner
• Handling any delays or errors, making quick and accurate decisions to keep our service running smoothly without sacrificing quality
• The last line of defence in our responsibility for allergies and intolerances, you’ll display an outstanding knowledge of our menu, making sure all components on the dish are correct and accurate before reaching our guests
• You’ll be responsible for ensuring the pass and BoH are set daily to our exacting standards; clean, organised, setting the whole team up for success
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

• Experienced in a similar role, ideally in a luxury environment, your attention to detail and quality standards are impeccable
• Your communication skills are outstanding, you actively listen and you’re adept in clearly relaying orders and specific instructions between teams
• Always remaining calm under pressure, you have a strong presence on the pass and ensure that the BoH environment is one of focus and concentration
• You have a detailed knowledge in identifying modifications for allergies or preferences; you’re also adept in recognising proper cooking times and plating techniques
• Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
• You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
• A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual
• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way
