Job summary

Carriera Limited is seeking a CDM & Health & Safety Lead for our London office on a hybrid basis. You will be the senior CDM and H&S expert, shaping regional service delivery and influencing business strategy across projects.

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, mentor consultants, engage with clients and drive growth of the London health and safety offering. The role offers leadership progression toward Associate and Partner levels within a fast-growing consultancy.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
• Membership of IOSH and/or APS.
• Proven CDM Principal Designer experience in consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
• Ability to engage with clients, contractors and design teams at all levels.
• Commercial awareness and proactive client development.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services across projects.
• Provide expert advice on CDM 2015 and Health & Safety legislation.
• Review Construction Phase Plans, Pre-Construction Information and Health & Safety Files.
• Site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Attend design team meetings and advise clients throughout delivery.
• Build long-term client relationships and mentor junior consultants.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and contribute to London office success.

Your Role

You’ll act as the trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance while delivering commercially focused Health & Safety solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services across multiple projects.
• Providing expert advice on CDM 2015 and wider Health & Safety legislation.
• Reviewing Construction Phase Plans, Pre-Construction Information and Health & Safety Files.
• Carrying out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Attending design team meetings and advising clients throughout project delivery.
• Building long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Supporting and mentoring junior consultants, helping to develop the London team.
• Identifying opportunities for business growth and contributing to the continued success of the regional office.

About You

We’re keen to speak with professionals who can demonstrate:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
• Membership of IOSH and/or APS.
• Strong experience delivering CDM Principal Designer services within a consultancy environment.
• Excellent understanding of the CDM Regulations 2015.
• The confidence to engage with clients, contractors and design teams at all levels.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to developing client relationships.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
