Job summary

DS Smith Packaging in Devizes is seeking a Project Site Manager for a 12-month contract on a major CDM project. You will lead site activities, manage permits, RAMS, deliveries and contractor coordination to ensure safe, compliant delivery on site.

You should hold IOSH Managing Safely, knowledge of CDM regulations, and an engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical). Day-to-day duties include site inductions, risk reviews and stakeholder liaison, with opportunities for progression and

Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management.
• Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
• Experience reviewing RAMS and Construction Phase Plans.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing contractors on site.
• Competent with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Permit Management: Issue and closure of permits to contractors.
• RAMS review and approve or reject.
• Oversee deliveries and collection of materials, vehicles, skips and machinery.
• CDM management: update project planner, coordinate daily works, daily audits.
• Deliver site inductions to team and contractors.
• Site maintenance: vehicle checks, handling chemicals and flammables.
• Conduct toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents and accidents.
