Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CDM Principal Designer to join our Environment & Energy SH&E team. The role can be based in multiple UK offices and involves leading CDM duties on major energy infrastructure projects, advising teams and clients, and promoting health and safety best practices throughout the design-to-construction process.

You will champion safety culture, support proactive engagement, and ensure compliance with CDM regulations while collaborating with colleagues to deliver value and excellence

Qualifications

• Experience delivering the Principal Designer role under CDM on energy projects.
• NEBOSH National or General Certificate, or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• Member of the Association of Project Safety.

Responsibilities

• Champion health, safety and environment across projects.
• Lead pre-construction CDM duties, risk mitigation and design to construction transition.
• Provide CDM advice and guidance to energy projects and clients.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance with SH&E policies.
