Arup is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join the UK Mid-West Energy and Water Resources Group. The role will lead design risk management, mentor CDM PD capability, and coordinate safety across complex infrastructure projects in locations including Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham and Nottingham.

You will act as the named CDM PD representative, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, supporting clients and designers, and guiding teams through pre-construction and construction phases with

Qualifications

• Experienced CDM Principal Designer with strong technical design background.
• Experience with substations, overhead lines, cabling works or water infrastructure is favourable.
• Track record on medium to large nationally important multi-disciplinary projects.
• Act as the named CDM PD representative and provide proportionate CDM advice.

Responsabilités

• Lead design risk and hazard workshops.
• Apply General Principles of Prevention to identify and reduce design risks.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to embed safety in projects.
• Manage high-risk interfaces and complex infrastructure risks.
• Act as trusted advisor to clients on CDM 2015 requirements.
• Prepare and manage Pre-Construction Information (PCI) packs.
• Coordinate communication between clients, designers and contractors.
• Undertake design and site safety audits and implement improvements.
