Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a CDM Advisor to ensure all projects comply with CDM Regulations across designated areas in the East Anglia region. You will provide expert guidance on legislation, conduct competency assessments, and perform site audits to maintain compliance.

The role requires a health and safety or engineering qualification, NEBOSH certification, and experience in multi-disciplinary design teams.

Qualifications

• Qualification in engineering or health and safety.
• NEBOSH Certificate (if not Construction Cert., must demonstrate other construction training).
• Experience in multi-discipline design teams and application of H&S in design.
• Good understanding of water industry assets’ operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CDM activities are assessed for maintenance or CDM complexity.
• Define CDM strategies and designate duty holders.
• Review PCI/Design risk management within Maintenance and Engineering Services.
• Prepare PCI and identify additional information needs.
• Ensure designs comply with MoCDM and STO requirements.
• Review Construction Phase Plans and welfare provisions.
• Assist in Risk Assessment and Method Statement reviews for high-risk activities.
• Conduct CDM audits at design and construction phases.
• Provide CDM compliance data for reports.
