Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Senior Design Manager in East Anglia (Peterborough area) to lead multi-disciplinary capital projects within a design & build environment.

You will manage designer responsibilities under CDM, collaborate with project teams, and drive delivery against regulatory dates while upholding governance standards. The role emphasizes leadership, integrity, and innovative techniques.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Experience designing capital projects in a design & build environment.
• Experience managing designers under CDM.
• Demonstrates ethics, integrity and collaboration.
• Engages stakeholders to drive on-time delivery and regulatory adherence.
• Leads with innovative approaches and addresses poor behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and delivery teams to ensure robust management of contractual obligations and governance standards.
• Ensure compliance with Anglian Water governance specifications and NEC3 contract requirements.
• Lead design activities under Option E (Pre-Contract Planning) and Option A (Priced Contract with Activity Schedule).
• Provide leadership to the design team and address any behavioural issues to maintain a productive environment.
