Job summary

JN Bentley, within the Anglian Water @One Alliance, is recruiting a CDM Advisor. You will ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and own alliance CDM processes across design teams, driving continuous improvement and training for designers and suppliers.

The role focuses on safe delivery of capital works as Anglian Water invests in AMP8, with opportunities to influence health and safety culture, collaborate with CDM Practitioners, and develop tools and procedures to enhance SHE performance.

Qualifications

• A qualification in engineering or health and safety.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (desirable).
• Experience in multi-discipline design teams and the application of H&S principles in design.
• Understanding of operational and maintenance needs of water industry assets (desirable).
• Membership of an appropriate engineering or health and safety institution.
• Good IT skills and MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with the duties under the CDM regulations.
• Own the Alliance CDM processes and monitor compliance within the design teams.
• Develop tools to ensure compliance with H&S legislation and business procedures.
• Deliver H&S training packages for designers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with CDMPs deployed in other AW Delivery Routes.
• Report on CDM procedure compliance to the Business Unit Health and Safety Manager.

Job description

Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a CDM Advisor to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance.

What will you be doing as our new CDM Advisor?

You’ll be required to ensure full compliance with relevant health and safety legislation associated with the delivery of capital works, specifically the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

In addition to this you will own the Alliance CDM processes and procedures and monitor compliance within the design teams. You will have to periodically review and revise CDM processes and procedures with subject matter experts and SHEA Systems Manager.

Consultation and collaborative working with client CDM Practitioners will be required as well as the continuous improvement review of CDM policy procedures and documentation.

What does it take to be successful?

• A qualification in engineering or health and safety

• An understanding of construction processes and procedures (desired)
• Membership of an appropriate engineering or health and safety institution
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Problem solving capabilities, flexibility and commitment.
• Good IT skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.
