Job summary

A specialist service provider near Birmingham is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and maintain CCTV systems. The ideal candidate has over 3 years of experience and a strong background in electrical engineering and CCTV technology. Excellent communication skills are essential. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary package based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in service/maintenance engineering.
• Strong background in CCTV systems and principles.
• Good mathematical and engineering knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation of CCTV systems.
• Provide servicing & maintenance for CCTV systems.
• Identify and rectify faults on CCTV systems.

Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client is a specialist service provider for CCTV. They are looking for an Engineer to join their team near Birmingham on a permanent basis.

Desired Attributes

• 3 years or more of experience in a similar Service/Maintenance Engineering position
• Background in CCTV with knowledge of CCTV systems and principles
• Knowledge of electrical engineering
• Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
• Ability to understand system requirements
• Self‑motivated with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation of CCTV systems
• Providing servicing & maintenance for CCTV systems
• Identifying and rectifying faults on CCTV systems
• Guidance and assistance to customers for functional and technical information
• Maintaining working relationships with colleagues and clients
