Job summary

The Lanes Group plc is seeking a CCTV Engineer for our Washington area. You will use CCTV equipment from a van and manhole access to survey pipes, recording debris and grease, and reporting results to clients.

You will need a Full UK driving licence, the ability to work in a two-person team, IT skills including Excel, and strong attention to detail. Some shifts may start early and include weekend work; PPE and parking are provided.

About the Role:

The Lanes Group is looking for a CCTV Engineer to manage our increased workload to our growing network.

• Location: Washington
• Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
• Salary: £14 - £16 per hour dependant on experience

The job:

• You will use the CCTV equipment to measure the heights and depths of the pipe, as well as to check for any damages that need to be recorded i.e. debris in the pipe or grease build up.
• Initially the role will involve, you accessing the pipe via manhole covers to put the CCTV camera down the pipe with accuracy.
• You will then carry out majority of the work from your van which has been installed with the CCTV and computer system for you to carry out the work.
• You will be using a tablet to keep records of the work you are carrying out which involves crucial paperwork to be carried out as this needs to be reporting back to the clients you are carrying out the work on behalf of.

Key skills required:

• Full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to work in a 2 person team
• IT skills including Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• OX19 Preferrable
• CSCS Card Preferrable

You’ll be polite and respectful when dealing with customers and the public, and observe all health and safety procedures. Being flexible is essential, as some jobs may require early starts and/or weekend working.
