Job summary

The Lanes Group plc is seeking a CCTV Engineer to support its growing drainage network in Edinburgh. You will operate CCTV equipment to inspect pipes and record debris, damage, and measurements, in line with client requirements.

Working conditions include 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some early starts and weekend work. The role includes company PPE, pension, life assurance, and free onsite parking. Full UK driving license required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
• Able to work in a two-person team.
• IT skills including Excel and basic reporting.

Responsibilities

• Use CCTV to measure the heights and depths of the pipe and record damages.
• Access the pipe via manhole covers to insert CCTV with accuracy.
• Carry out most work from a van equipped with CCTV and computer system.
• Use a tablet to record work and prepare client reports.

About the Role:

The Lanes Group is looking for a CCTV Engineer to manage our increased workload to our growing network.

• Location: Edinburgh
• Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
• Salary: Up to £16.00ph doe

The job:

• You will use the CCTV equipment to measure the heights and depths of the pipe, as well as to check for any damages that need to be recorded i.e. debris in the pipe or grease build up.
• Initially the role will involve, you accessing the pipe via manhole covers to put the CCTV camera down the pipe with accuracy.
• You will then carry out majority of the work from your van which has been installed with the CCTV and computer system for you to carry out the work.
• You will be using a tablet to keep records of the work you are carrying out which involves crucial paperwork to be carried out as this needs to be reporting back to the clients you are carrying out the work on behalf of.

Desirable Qualities:

We are looking for someone who has an interest in gaining a career in a field based role where you will be hands on in the operations.
