Job description

Position Responsibilities

The position will involve, but will not be limited to, the following:

1. System installation and commissioning of fire detection systems, including Addressable / Non-addressable systems, Air Sampling, Beam Detection, Wireless systems, in accordance with current standards and Codes of Practice.
2. Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating potential risks to project delivery dates without delay.
3. Commissioning and handover of systems in line with specifications and drawings, including client demonstrations.
4. Possession of FIA qualifications and a comprehensive understanding of BS5839.
5. Timely completion of timesheets and all relevant paperwork.
6. Participation in relevant training as required.
7. Compliance with all relevant H&S requirements.
8. Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with company policy.
9. Completion of relevant e-documentation (via tablet) or paperwork in line with FIA & BAFE requirements.
10. Support for company policy and best practices around fire and security, with emphasis on protecting sensitive customer information.
11. Knowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines is advantageous.
12. Product knowledge of brands such as Protec, ADT, Advanced, Kentec, Notifier, and Honeywell, including programming cause and effects, is advantageous.
