March in Burton upon Trent is seeking an experienced CCTV, Access Control & Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our Network Infrastructure Division. The role focuses on installation, commissioning, maintenance and support of CCTV, access control, structured cabling and network infrastructure across varied customer environments.

You'll work on fault diagnosis, system upgrades and site testing while adhering to RAMS, health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, commissioning and maintaining CCTV and access control systems.
• Ability to read drawings, specs and commissioning documentation.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety and RAMS requirements.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

CCTV, Access Control & Network Infrastructure Engineer

Burton on Trent

Following continued growth within our Network Infrastructure Division, we are looking for an experienced CCTV, Access Control & Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Burton upon Trent.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing and highly skilled team delivering specialist security and network infrastructure solutions across a variety of customer environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and support of CCTV, access control, structured cabling and network infrastructure systems, helping us deliver high-quality projects while maintaining our strong in-house technical capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission and maintain CCTV, access control, door entry and related security systems.
• Deliver network infrastructure installations, including structured cabling, fibre optic systems, containment, cabinets, patching and associated equipment.
• Carry out fault diagnosis, repairs and system upgrades across security and network infrastructure systems.
• Complete testing, commissioning, labelling and handover documentation to required standards.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, RAMS and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers, project managers and colleagues.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams throughout project delivery.
• Support planned maintenance activities, reactive callouts and project installations.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements, remedial works and service enhancements.
• Maintain accurate records, including test results, commissioning data, photographs and reports.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, client requirements and industry best practice.
• Comply with all health and safety requirements, including site rules, permits and safe systems of work.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, installation quality and housekeeping.
• Support the wider Network Infrastructure Division as required.

Skills, Experiences & Qualifications

• Proven experience installing, commissioning, maintaining and fault-finding CCTV and access control systems.
• Good understanding of IP-based technologies, network connectivity and security systems.
• Experience working with structured cabling, data networks, cabinets and patching environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills with a logical, methodical approach.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and commissioning documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements, RAMS and safe working practices.
• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Manufacturer training or accreditations in recognised CCTV or access control systems.
• Experience with systems such as Paxton, Hikvision, Axis, Avigilon, Hanwha or similar platforms.
• Fibre optic installation, termination, splicing or testing experience.
• ECS/CSCS card, IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness or other relevant site certifications.
• Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, commercial or critical infrastructure environments.
