Job summary

Hexagon Recruitment is seeking a CCTV & Access Control Field Engineer in the UK. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot door access control systems, including network cabling such as Cat5/6. The role combines independent work with teamwork and requires travel as needed.

A strong background in electronic security, problem-solving, and excellent communication with clients is essential. A full UK driving licence is required for local and national assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining door access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronic security systems including key card access, biometrics, and intercoms.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Hold a Full Valid UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain door access control systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of access control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all installations and maintenance activities.
• Provide training and support to clients on the use of access control systems.
• Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Travel locally or nationally as required.
