Job Description

Looking for a full-time forklift driving role with regular weekday hours and the chance to secure a permanent position? We’re recruiting experienced Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join a friendly and supportive team, with an immediate start available for suitable candidates.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a warehouse environment and wants consistent hours, a competitive rate of pay and the potential for long-term employment.

You’ll be responsible for safely moving and transporting a range of furniture products throughout the warehouse, helping ensure stock is handled efficiently and deliveries are managed smoothly.

Your day-to-day duties will include loading and unloading goods, carrying out routine forklift and equipment checks, and reporting any faults or maintenance issues promptly. You’ll also help maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouse while supporting colleagues with general warehouse duties when required.

Following Health & Safety procedures and handling products with care will be essential throughout your shift.

Duration: This is a full-time temporary position with the opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: The role pays £13.75 per hour, with up to 28 days’ holiday accrued per year. You’ll also benefit from regular Monday-to-Friday hours, no weekend work and the opportunity to move into permanent employment.With an immediate start available, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator ready for their next role.Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Working Hours: You’ll work Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:15, with a 45-minute break each day. This is a weekday-only position, so no weekend work is required.

Experience & Qualifications

You must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence and have previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a working environment. A Flexi FLT licence or previous Flexi operating experience would be an advantage.

We’re looking for someone reliable, safety-conscious and able to work well as part of a team. If you live outside the local area, you must have a valid driving licence and your own transport to travel to and from work.
