Job summary

St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, Stalybridge invites a Deputy Headteacher to join its committed team. The post requires practising Catholicity and leadership alongside teaching duties, with opportunities for professional development within the Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust.

The successful candidate will model best practice, support the Headteacher, and work with governors and the Trust Central Team to raise standards and strengthen Catholic ethos across the school.

Qualifications

• Be a practising Catholic and supporter of the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Demonstrate exemplary teaching with ability to lead alongside teaching responsibilities.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership skills within primary or secondary education and experience of leading school improvement.
• Ambitious for every child within the Trust to succeed in all aspects of life.
• Strong moral and ethical principles and values.
• Enthusiastic and motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Able to adapt and respond to challenging situations.
• Open to new ideas and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Headteacher in leading and managing the school.
• Represent the Headteacher at meetings as required.
• Undertake the professional duties of the Headteacher during their absence.
• Collaborate with the Headteacher and the Trust to raise standards.
