Job summary

Holy Family Catholic Academy in Platt Bridge is inviting applications for Deputy Headteacher to work with the Headteacher to drive excellence across curriculum, safeguarding and school improvement. The role requires a practising Catholic leader committed to faith-centred education and high standards.

You will shape strategy, lead on curriculum development and staff development, and role-model collaboration within a strong Catholic ethos and Trust partnership.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience of senior leadership in a primary school.
• Proven track record of raising standards and driving improvement.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• Inspirational communicator with ability to develop others.

Responsibilities

• Support the Headteacher in strategic leadership and operational management to secure outstanding outcomes.
• Lead an ambitious curriculum that enables all pupils to flourish.
• Drive teaching and pupil achievement through monitoring and professional development.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Deputise for the Headteacher as needed.
• Lead and develop staff, fostering a high-performing culture.
• Use data to raise standards and close attainment gaps.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, governors and the wider community.
