Job summary

Academics in Southampton is recruiting a Catering Teacher to join an Alternative Provision setting from September. You will teach practical catering to students aged 11+, helping them gain confidence, independence and vocational skills aligned with future pathways.

QTS is desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will bring strong catering knowledge, be passionate about engaging young people, and adapt lessons to individual needs.

• Passion for engaging young people and delivering engaging lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical Catering skills to students aged 11+ in an Alternative Provision setting.
• Help students develop confidence, independence and vocational skills for future pathways.
• Adapt lessons to individual needs and provide clear guidance and feedback.
• Support students who may have struggled in mainstream education.
