HMYOI Feltham is seeking a Catering Tutor to deliver engaging catering lessons and practical training to learners, helping them gain qualifications and employability skills within a custodial education setting.

The role focuses on teaching practical and theory-based catering, food safety, kitchen operations, and hospitality, while monitoring progress and maintaining high standards of health and hygiene in the training kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, hospitality, or professional kitchen environments.
• Minimum A Level 2 qualification in catering or related subject.
• Experience delivering training or teaching is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theory-based catering lessons.
• Teach learners from Entry Level through to vocational qualifications.
• Develop professional kitchen skills and food preparation techniques.
• Deliver training in food safety, kitchen operations, food preparation and hospitality.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.

The Role

As a Catering Tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based catering lessons.
• Teach learners from Entry Level through to vocational qualifications.
• Support learners in developing professional kitchen skills and food preparation techniques.
• Deliver training in areas such as food safety, kitchen operations, food preparation, and hospitality.

What We're Looking For

We are keen to hear from candidates with:

• Experience working within catering, hospitality, or professional kitchen environments.
• A Level 2 qualification in Catering, Professional Cookery, Hospitality, or a related subject as a minimum.
• Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring, or teaching (desirable).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for helping others succeed.
