Job summary

Caron Group in Swansea is seeking a Catering Support to assist the Chef/Cook in ensuring the nutritional content of meals and catering for residents with dietary needs.

You will support meal service, provide refreshments for residents and visitors, maintain high standards of cleanliness, monitor fridge temperatures, and help with stock rotation and safety procedures. This role is part of a family of care homes with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
• At least 1 year of Catering experience.
• At least 1 year of Kitchen Assistant experience.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food or Apetito.
• Completing cleaning schedules.
• Maintaining very high standards of cleanliness.
• Monitor fridge/freezer temperatures.
• Report to Hospitality Coordinator for any concerns.
• Complete ongoing file for Health & Safety.
• Wash up dishes, pots and pans put through the steriliser.
• Keep china, cutlery and beakers in a very clean state.
• Monitor stock rotation.
• Maintain balanced diet for residents.
• Ensure knowledge of residents with special diet or allergies.
• Have awareness of the diabetics and their special diet.
• Assist Hospitality Coordinator in the ordering, storage and provision of food.
• Keep surfaces clean and sterilised.
• Keep appliances clean and safe.
