The Campus Kitchen is the University of Southampton’s in-house catering service. We facilitate a multitude of services across the University, including food provision in catered halls, retail catering outlets across campuses, a delivered catering service, and hospitality catering. Our goal is to deliver five-star food service, catering to diverse needs and enhancing the campus experience for staff, students, and visitors.

The role
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of one of the Campus Kitchen outlets, managing all aspects including financial KPIs (labour and cost of sales), health and safety responsibilities, and compliance. You will assist with staff training and monitor standards front and back of house.
You will lead your team to provide high-quality customer service proactively, fostering an inclusive culture.
The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with flexibility required for evenings and weekends on a rota basis. The position may be based at Highfield Campus or our Winchester outlet.
Additional benefits include a daily lunch allowance, time off during Easter and Christmas, bank holidays, and a 36-hour workweek.
