Job summary

The Kings School, Cheshire invites applications for a Catering Supervisor to oversee daily catering operations and lead a team within the school dining environment. The role focuses on delivering high standards of service, food hygiene and guest experience for pupils, staff and visitors.

Candidates should bring hospitality experience, a strong customer service ethos and the ability to manage busy service periods. Flexible evenings/weekends and local food safety knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day catering operation, ensuring excellent food service and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, motivate and support the catering team to deliver high standards at all times.
• Work closely with the General Catering Manager and Head Chef to ensure smooth daily services and events.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, allergen management and cleanliness.
• Deliver a warm, welcoming hospitality experience for pupils, staff, visitors and guests.
• Support the planning and delivery of school functions, conferences and hospitality events.
• Promote teamwork, provide on-the-job training and encourage continuous improvement across the catering team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our friendly and professional catering team.

What You Do

• Has previous experience in hospitality, catering or events.

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities.
• Has a good understanding of food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety.
• Is flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of school events.
• Experience within an education or independent school environment and a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential.
