Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Catering Refrigeration Engineer to join our facilities team in Greater London. You will be the technical expert ensuring cold-storage and kitchen systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, protecting client inventories and operations.

You’ll own planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, manage permits to work, and supervise subcontractors while maintaining rigorous safety and QHSE standards. Strong communication with facilities staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Maintains commercial refrigeration units, walk-in cold rooms and catering equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting of cooling cycles and control circuits.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance to keep cooling systems running.
• Diagnose faults and restore service quickly to meet SLAs.
• Manage permit-to-work and ensure compliance with QHSE regulations.
• Close out work orders and ensure accurate service documentation.
