York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management LLP is seeking enthusiastic Catering Operatives to work across Scarborough Hospital's Catering Department, primarily in the Main Kitchen and dining areas. You will join a team delivering food, assisting at events, and maintaining hygiene standards in a busy hospital environment.

The role requires flexibility to work variable hours, be able to use initiative, and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Catering experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a busy hospital environment.
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsabilités

• Delivering food trolleys to ward areas.
• Serving in Pats Place.
• Delivering food to functions and events within the trust as required.
• Using ovens to regenerate food.
• Keeping the kitchen areas clean.
• Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP.
• Washing up and other general cleaning duties.
• Working in other areas of the Catering Department as needed.

Scarborough Hospital Catering Department requires enthusiastic Catering Operatives to work in all areas of the Catering Department mainly in the Main Kitching, could be asked to work Satellite Area and Dinning Room of the Catering Department. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible, in order to work variable hours. You must be able to use initiative, be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills. Applicants must be able to work under pressure, prioritise their own workload and be able to carry out physical tasks., The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will also be provided.

Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.
