Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting a Catering Manager to oversee school catering operations in the Rugby area. You will manage preparation, service, financials, stock, and team leadership while upholding food quality, service standards and safety.

The role offers development within a global organisation that values its people. You will lead a kitchen team, manage menus, control costs and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, while maintaining a positive, supportive work environment for staff

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for large groups (100–1300 students).
• Experience following standard recipes in a school/kitchen setting.
• Experience supervising staff or line management.
• Experience with fresh produce and ingredients.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and food hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Manage replenishment of food and end-of-service area dismantling.
• Mentor, train and develop the kitchen team.
• Control catering operation costs including labour, food and stock.
• Manage and optimise costs under your control.
• Ensure consistent food and service standards for staff, visitors and students.
• Develop and update school menus and conduct routine audits.
