Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering and service operations. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, contracted to 47.2 weeks per year, and will oversee kitchens and service counters to deliver exceptional food experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 required.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Demonstrate strong financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and service.
• Oversee in-unit catering operations, including inventories and budgets.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales.
• Lead and train teams to excel in their roles.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across teams.
