Job summary

Authentic Education Group Limited is seeking a Catering Manager on a 6-month fixed term contract to oversee day-to-day catering operations in an academy setting.

You will lead catering staff, manage menus and stock, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, budgets, and deliver a high-quality, nutritious service that supports student welfare and a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in catering leadership or kitchen management.
• Strong organisational, communication and people-management skills.
• Committed to providing high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Understands financial management in a catering setting.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day catering operations and ensure meals meet standards.
• Lead, support and supervise catering staff, including rota management.
• Manage stock, budgeting and cost control to deliver value-for-money service.
• Develop menus and maintain high standards of food presentation and service.
• Ensure Health & Safety, food hygiene, COSHH and safeguarding compliance.
• Build relationships with external clients and support commercial opportunities.
