Job summary

Torus Group is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to lead Café Recharge at FireFit Youth & Community Hub in Liverpool. You will manage the café team, design nutritious menus, and oversee catering for community and commercial events.

You will ensure food safety, safeguarding, and health and safety compliance while maintaining high customer service standards. A Level 3 catering qualification and Basic Food Hygiene are required, with flexible hours including occasional evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Professional Catering/Hospitality or recognised Catering qualification with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience managing within a catering environment with strong food safety knowledge.
• Experience designing menus to meet diverse dietary needs and budgets.
• Experience building supplier relationships and managing budgets and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management and delivery of Café Recharge with a focus on high-quality, customer-focused service.
• Manage, support and develop the café team, including rotas, performance conversations and team meetings.
• Plan catering provision for Café Recharge, commercial bookings and events within budget and resources.
• Create nutritious, balanced, inclusive menus for service users, community customers and clients.
• Oversee budget, stock control and purchasing, ensuring value for money and compliance with procedures.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and external providers.
• Supervise preparation of food and beverages for Café Recharge and events.
• Support FireFit’s youth programme by providing food and activities with the Youth Team.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
