Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN) is seeking a dedicated Catering Manager to lead the central services catering team in Weston-super-Mare. You will ensure nutritious, high quality meals for pupils, manage menus, monitor costs and drive food safety and hygiene standards.

This is a term-time, part-time role (32 hours 30 minutes per week) on a fixed term contract of 9–10 months, with a salary of £20,950.74.

Responsibilities

• Adapt the trusts menus to the school requirements, considering cost and nutrition.
• Ensure all food is produced per the menu and available in required quantities.
• Identify stock needs and place orders with nominated suppliers.
• Ensure food at the point of service meets the required standard.
• Maintain sound health and safety practices.
• Supervise kitchen teams, allocate duties, and motivate staff.
• Attend training sessions, meetings and parent evenings as required.
