Job summary

Rawlins, part of Embrace Multi Academy Trust, is seeking a Catering Assistant to join its dedicated catering team. The role involves dishwashing, assisting with meal prep, and helping in food service in a busy school kitchen. A Basic Food Hygiene qualification is essential, with training offered if needed.

The post is 30 hours per week across 9.00am–3.00pm, Monday to Friday, for 39 weeks each year, with some optional overtime payable. This is a permanent contract in a supportive school community.

Duties will include use of dishwasher or washing up, assisting in the preparation of meals in a busy school kitchen and assisting in food service including use of cashless catering tills and maintaining the hygiene of the kitchen. A Basic Food Hygiene qualification is essential and therefore training will be offered, if required.
