Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a Catering Manager to lead the academy’s catering operations. You will manage the facilities to provide high-quality meals to students and staff, while developing menus and supervising a team in a high-volume environment.

The role includes coordinating catering for school events, ensuring safety, hygiene, and cost effectiveness, and driving continual improvement in service and food quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to create varied menus and oversee catering operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide management of the catering facilities within the academy to deliver value for money meals of a high standard for students, staff and visitors.
• Create a new and varied menu to enhance lunchtime experience for students.
• Provide catering support for Extended School activities, academy events and meetings.
• Strive for continual improvement of food quality and service and ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, COSHH and risk management.

LOCATION: Shireland Collegiate Academy

GRADE: Band E SCP 18 -25

SALARY: £32,578 - £37,563 (Actual salary £30,447 - £35,395 p.a.)

HOURS: 37 hours per week, term time + 3 weeks

We are looking for a Catering Manager.

The postholder will:

• Provide management of the catering facilities within the Academy to provide students, staff and visitors with value for money meals of a high standard.
• Create a new and varied menu which will enhance and the lunchtime experience of all our students.
• Providing catering to support Extended School activities, Academy events and meetings.
• To strive for the continual improvement of the quality of food and service.
• To ensure compliance with the requirements of food hygiene regulations, Health and Safety, COSH regulations and risk management.

Applicants must have experience of working in a high-volume catering environment managing a team of staff.
