Job summary

Brighouse High School is seeking a Catering Manager to lead the school’s catering services. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will coordinate day-to-day operations in one of our school kitchens, contribute to menu development, food ordering and preparation, and supervise a small team.

The role is 37 hours per week, term-time only plus training days and a cleaning day, with a Grade APT&C Scale 4-5, points 7-17.

Qualifications

• Experience of running catering in a busy operation.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate catering staff.
• Competent with computerised ordering and records.
• Must have Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification.

We are seeking to appoint an individual for the above post, to provide a friendly and efficient service leading the catering services for Brighouse High School.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be trained to co-ordinate and take responsibility for the day to day running of one of our school kitchens. You will be involved in menu development, food ordering & preparation, staff organisation and all other aspects required to run a busy catering operation.

As a minimum, you must have a Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification, have had experience of large scale catering, have access to own transport (we are a split site), be computer literate and ideally have had some experience of supervising staff.
