Qualifications

• A skilled chef with care sector experience.
• Proven leadership with team management.
• Experience in stock ordering, budgeting and menu planning.
• Holder of an advanced food hygiene certificate and good personal hygiene.
• Polite and professional with a positive attitude to requests.
• Excellent communicator able to liaise at all levels.
• Driven to deliver the best possible service.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients' nutritional and dietary needs.
• Order food supplies, plan and review menus.
• Prepare, cook and serve food of the highest standard.
• Organise work rotas, manage budgets and kitchen staff.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas and dining room.
• Maintain personal hygiene.
• Ensure compliance with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations.
• Ensure record keeping is accurate and complies with regulations and Cygnet procedures.
• Handle, maintain and store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

We are looking for an outstanding Catering Manager who's passionate about food and wants to make a difference. You'll be working 48 hours per week, creating an excellent culinary experience for the people in our care at Cygnet Newton House.

Cygnet Newton House offers both a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service and community rehabilitation (level 1) service for men. The service is dedicated to providing a high quality environment for promoting long-term recovery. From admission, the team work with the men we support to maximise positive outcomes and recovery, while focusing on discharge plans to support them to move on to the least restrictive environment for them. Our dedicated clinical team provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training.

Your Day-to-Day...
