Job summary

Bolton Talent Solutions & Bolton College are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Catering Lecturer to join us on a temporary basis, delivering high-quality teaching across Catering, Hospitality and Patisserie. You will support learners to develop practical skills and industry knowledge, preparing them for employment or further study.

The role combines practical and theory-based delivery with flexible full-time or part-time hours, starting in October 2026 and extending through July 2027.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Catering, Professional Cookery, Patisserie, Hospitality, Bakery, or related discipline.
• Level 3 Advanced Food Hygiene qualification.
• A minimum Level 3 teaching qualification.
• Industry experience within Catering, Hospitality, Patisserie, Bakery, or Professional Cookery environments.
• An enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching across Catering, Hospitality, and Patisserie programmes at levels 1 to 3.
• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
• Support learners to develop industry-standard skills and professional behaviours.
• Demonstrate current industry practices and high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
• Track learner progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, and safeguarding requirements.

Pay Rate: £28.75 to £32.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

This role combines practical and theory-based delivery, helping learners develop expertise in professional cookery, pastry, bakery, confectionery, and food service operations.
