Job summary

Hurstpierpoint College in West Sussex is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our busy campus kitchen. You will help clean equipment, operate industrial dishwashers, and maintain hygienic, well-organised workspaces. The role is full-time, pattern 5 out of 6 days (Mon-Sat) with early starts.

A driving licence is preferred. Training provided, salary £12.90 per hour, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean heavy and small catering equipment to the required standard.
• Operate industrial dishwashers across multiple catering areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste safely and correctly, maintaining clean spaces.
• Maintain excellent hygiene and submit Near Miss cards.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation.
• Transport provisions and equipment between catering areas.
